Treadmill Prices

With today’s interest in the exercise and nutrition many people have taken to running, walking or jogging. However, these exercises are done outdoors and when the weather is inclement the one doing the exercising has to move to the inside such as a gym, or choose to lose a day of exercise. To avoid this, the die hard exerciser, has turned to the treadmill in the home.

There are many different styles of treadmills to choose from. To begin with, you should know that there are two basic types of treadmills, the motorized treadmill and the treadmill that is not motorized. The motorized treadmill is generally used by those people that like to jog, walk or run because they can preset the distance in which they want to do their exercise. You can not only preset the distance you want to accomplish but you can also preset the speed at which you want to accomplish the goal. Of course the treadmills that have all of the features, such as a heart monitor, speed and distance preset, pedometer that tells you how far you have traveled, and a timer to let you know how long it took you to get there and more, will cost you more that one that has less or no special features.

The type of treadmill you want for yourself will depend on how you want to use it. If you are an avid jogger, walker or runner you will want a strong treadmill and would probably opt for a commercial treadmill, the kind you see being used in the gym. If you just want to use the treadmill for daily aerobic type of exercise where you will not be overworking yourself of the treadmill you may opt for a lighter treadmill. You may be interested in a cheaper model treadmill or perhaps one that folds up. The fold up treadmill is designed to save space and is good for the person that will not use it for heavy exercise.
Some people prefer the treadmill that is not motorized and uses manual energy to operate. This too is more for the person that does not do strenuous or heavy jogging, walking or running exercises.

The price of treadmills varies in accordance with their features. The more features the treadmill has the more it will cost. Also entered into the price is whether the treadmill is a heavy duty commercial treadmill or one that is conducive to the needs of the occasional exerciser. You can purchase a cheaper treadmill in the $300 to $500 range. The moderately price treadmills will run between $550 and $900. Finally, the heavy duty treadmill will cost you anywhere from $1,000 to $4,999 depending on what features you want to have included in it. The cheaper models do not come equipped with much in special features only in those features that are necessary such as distance and time.

If you are buying a treadmill to use at home, keep in mind that they are somewhat bulky, even those that fold away. Measure the location where you will want to keep and use your treadmill to be sure it will be conveniently located. When you go to shop for your treadmill either at a sporting good store or online had the measurements so that you can find the treadmill that will best fit the space you have chosen for it.
